Can i use a mall gift card for...?

the movies. the movies are in the mall. i am going on a trip to the garden state plaza in garifeld and i want to know if i can buy like popcorn with the whole mall gift... can u do that or do u have to pay with monney...they just built a new amc theater in the mall and i want to know if i can use my mall gift card to buy tickets and popcorn with it

Ask the theater. Most of the times, it includes all of the businesses that are included at that mall. However, some of the stores actually lease the facility separately and do not follow the same rules as a 'mall' store would.
If it has a visa/mastercard logo, than yes, be aware that some places charge a transaction fee, and some places check the actual card, for example they'll scan it for $70 to see if there is any money there and actually conduct the transaction for $17 the rest of the money is then place back on the card for about 3 to 5 business days later. The key to this is, to always know how much is on the card to give the exact amount to be charged and inform the clerk that it is a gift card and not a debit or actual credit card.
If the card is specifically for the mall then I can't see why not. If it has the visa/mastercard logo you probably can.
