of late i have not seen any listings for the AMC Springfield Mall 10, in VA, why is this? is the theater closed?

Yes, the Springfield Mall AMC is closed. The phone is not being answered either. There were a number of maintenance and other problems with the theater, and I guess they decided it wasn't worth the trouble to renovate. The Web page for Springfield Mall doesn't even list a movie theater as one of the tenants. See http://www.springfieldmall.com/Stores.as...

I don't know for sure but wouldn't be surprised if it has closed... that place has gone downhill ever since the AMC Hoffman opened.
